IDENTITY OF ADVERSARY

Adversary simply means an enemy, an opponent in conflict or

debate. One who takes over life in other to abuse or misused what you possess as a gift for negative purposes. As human we are created by God whose original intent is to ensure man lives in an environment that is peaceful, loving and rich in provisions, but the enemy came to deceive mankind with the intention of changing the wish of God for man. Though man fell but God provide alternative way for man (Jesus Christ) to escape the danger of Hell, and for man to live life fulfilling their dreams. Rev12:17 and the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

When enemy takes over; life, marriage, business, ministry, etc these are the four major things to put into consideration to examine your status.

• Your Prayer life

• Thirst for the word

• Passion for Godly activities

• Giving level is low

Prayerlessnes:

1Pe 5:8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: (KJV)

And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. Lk21:34-36 (KJV)

Friends, do you eat daily? Am sure you do; then make prayer a daily commitment, at least 1hr daily Mt 26:40 and he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? In Lk22:46 And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. Some of us can’t stand in prayer for 15minutes; Jesus says pray that ye enter not into temptation Lk22:40. Some of us spent hours watching TV, talking or chatting with friends; endless hours doing things on the internet that do not build or develop our spiritual relationship with God.

It is important we examining our daily life to know who we really submit our days to; how many minutes do we spend daily in doing things that God will call his own or what the enemy (Satan) will call his own. Who do we serve in our daily lives?

We need to be careful in life, when the enemy creeping to the affairs of our lives, you have no idea of the damage he’s capable to do.

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary (enemy). And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? Lk18:1-8(KJV)

In view of the above quote: the woman got what she wanted from the ruler because she went about it the right way. Though the judge sees himself as god, and fear no one, the judge couldn’t resist her persistence. We need to learn from the Holy Ghost how to pray because many don’t know how and they’re trapped.

And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week; I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. Lk18:9-14 (KJV)

If you can pray in the Holy Spirit better for you, say your prayers and trust God for the result. Sometime I do petition God for certain things to happen in my life, I hope and wait patiently for the Lord for my answers, I use to say to myself where else can I go if I refuse to wait on God for answer, who else can give gift that last forever and will not arm or destroy me, He knows what is good for me, He knows the best time to give me, on my own part I should know when and how to receive from Him. For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. Ps84:11(KJV) God may ask you to give before you get, listen and obey God instruction; withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and tomorrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee. Pr 3:27-28 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Lk6:38.

Be patience, don’t let hastiness, greed, selfishness and other devices of the enemy trap you, God is patient with us let us also be patient in our quest of seeing our desire been met. The opportunity will come, when it comes open the door of your heart to receive it. It will not come the way you expected, God is not man, you will receive those answers in your quiet moment. People God sent comes in an unusual way, maybe in dirty cloth (just suggesting) etc. But God will show up when you least expected. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Rev3:20 (KJV)

So, if you notice that things are not going right in your life; give attention to these saying and cheek yourself.

Thirst for the word

No thirst for the word Jn 6:37 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. Some are too busy in their daily business (or busy-ness) no time to read the bible not to talk of meditating on the word, never occur to them that reading the word is food to their soul just like food (Pounded Yam & Vegetable type of food) is to their body. They rush out of their homes daily without speaking the word out of their mouth to ignite power that will build shield around them wherever they go and whatever they do. They are open or expose to the enemy no defense. Even some worldly people say incantation early in the morning before living.

They do not study the bible; so no revelation. They do not read or listen to Christian messages, tapes, CD’s, DVD’s or magazines. No time to search for messages via internet for Christian literature, they have no word for themselves nor for anybody, no scriptural communication to people in form of evangelism or teaching. Even though, they learnt some scripture before they do not remember. And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. {lusts: or, inordinate desires} Mk4:19

So when trouble comes they are trapped and defenseless, can’t escape. The enemy find no defense in them they’re open to punches, they were treated badly, tear apart, distress, bartered; eventually they gave up in life and die; because they refuse to call on the Savior Jesus the Son of the living God to save them.

Guard yourself daily with prayer back by the word of God, prayer without word is empty. Make confession and declare words daily or read psalm and see yourself in the blessing, do it daily or choose specific time and day; you will love God more when you see the result. Mk 9:39 But Jesus said, forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name that can lightly speak evil of me.

No Passion for Godly activities

These set of people are too attached to the world, they have friends they can’t do without, they love outing, parties, clubs, dating, and love to dress to kill to get the attention of people or to be noticed. Even though they’re Christian they’re worldly, they can’t do without celebrating, they can celebrate anything buy new clothes, shoes, jewelry, etc.

As Christian we’re responsible to live, and to live as an example to others in our society. We live so that others will learn from us. If your friends is leading you to sin; separate yourself from him or her peacefully, And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Mk9:43.

Christians that do not have passion for spiritual activity has allow the enemy to take over, they take priority in worldly occasion than church activities, even though is on worship day, there is no inner drive, feeling, condemnation, remorse, nothings to stop them doing what they’re doing. They are canal; bible says for to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Ro8:6. So a canal mind is a sinful mind, these category of people are control by the enemy, he use them daily to perpetrate his evil deed in the world. To come out of this type of situation we have to engage ourselves in spiritual activities start with prayer, study the word, read Christian literature books, and also teach others.

Giving level is low

Life is a gift from God, God demonstrate is love by giving us Jesus to save us from Hell. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Jn3:16. He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Jn8:32. Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and tomorrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee. Pr 3:27-28.

Giving is very important and more important is to know when to give, a beggar is very different from people who ask us when they’re in need, some are begging not because they don’t have money in their pocket but because that has become their hobby, some are not poor but they’re in-need at that particular moment, let the Holy Spirit help you to know when to give, remember the story in Mk14:3-7. And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she break the box, and poured it on his head. And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, why was this waste of the ointment made? For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her. And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? She hath wrought a good work on me. For ye have the poor with you always, and whomsoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.

The women gave at the right time, instead of joining them in celebrating and waiting for what Jesus will do for them she went in to do something for Jesus, in return what happen she got the best gift of wholeness. All of them even those who suggested that the ointment should be sold so that the money can be giving to the poor, wish to have the ointment as their own. Majority are looking for what they will get, few are looking for opportunity to give; this is the golden rule. See Mt 7:12. Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

Doors of opportunity are open through our giving to others in the society, For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? Or thirsty, and gave thee drink? Mk 25:35-37. we have our responsibility towards God and God’s people in our circle, active giving gives us breakthrough in every area of our lives, it is amazing that some does not even believe in paying their tithe, they run their life as if they produce result by their own self, I hope God will deliver them by showing them that His God. If they’re unhealthy for 1week and see death face to face maybe they will wake up.

Do not allow the enemy to take advantage of you by using these instruments, remember this is a spiritual battle, guard yourself, hence, you will suffer in life and regret you ever been created. You can’t blame God because I know you’re reading this. If you need help go to Jesus, if you still need further help or assistant go to Jesus, and if you need more and more go to Jesus more and more ok. I can’t help you, only Jesus can, give your life to him today and submit your fears.

I guarantee success and greatness, read Ro 10:9-10. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
